How FastDL App actually works (under the hood)
When you paste an Instagram link into FastDL App and press Download, here is what happens in the background. Your browser sends the link to our extraction API. The API forwards it to our backend (a Python service running yt-dlp on a hardened VPS), which fetches the public Instagram page, parses the embedded JSON, and extracts the direct CDN URL for the underlying media file. That CDN URL is sent back to your browser — and your browser downloads the file directly from Instagram's own CDN, not from our servers.
This direct-from-CDN architecture is the reason FastDL App is so fast. Most other Instagram downloaders proxy the file through their own server — meaning the video is downloaded twice (once from Instagram to their server, then again from their server to you).
